Photo Compliments of Dylan Savery (Ranee is the hugging player with no cap)

Ranee Premji, formerly of the SWU Premiers 90 FC is an impressive role model for our younger CMSA players as she leads her University of North Carolina team to victory! A proud coach writes in.... See story below.

"I am an assistant coach of Ranee Premji with Callies Major in the AMSL, but I thought CMSA may be interested in her impressive feat as a role model, and as an ex CMSA player who was the only Canadian on the Tar Heels team"....Dylan Savery

"Former CMSA player Ranee Premji, now in her senior year,  was an instrumental part of the University of North Carolina Tar Heels 2012 NCAA Div.1 Women's Soccer National Championship winning team. The competition was in San Diego and the final was on December 2.  Click on the link to see a clip from the championship final game in which she scored a beautiful goal.      NCAA Div.1 National Championship

Ranee was an original member of the Calgary SWU Premiers 90 FC -  since 2002, a team that medaled at CSA Nationals twice, six time Alberta Provincial champions, and were 11 time City of Calgary Champions. The team was coached exclusively by her father Raf Premji, who was given the 2010 CMSA "Award of Merit" for his work with the team that resulted in many of the players receiving scholarships all throughout colleges in North America.

Ranee had a very special 2012 as she was invited to a 26 player Canada WNT 10 day pre camp in Larnaka, Cyprus on Feb. 28th 2012 that featured top players like Christine Sinclair, Sophie Schmidt, etc...

On top of it all she helped the Calgary Callies Womens' AMSL team qualify for and win silver at this year's ASA's Jubilee Shield Provincial competition. You can tell we are very proud of her!"
