First Round Matchup Live Draw

CMSA did a redraw the following divisions due to team misplacement. This stream will follow the redraw of 6 divisions. CLICK HERE for the following divisions: 

• BU13 T3
• BU13 T4
• GU15 T1
• GU17 T1
• BU17 T2
• BU19 T2 

All other divisions will follow the same seeding as shown on the previous live stream. CLICK HERE to view. 

Process:

1. Teams interested in competing in the CMSA Provincial Qualifier Cup Competition submitted their teams to CMSA.
    
2. CMSA compiled all teams through all provincial eligible divisions and ages to determine brackets and seeding.
    
3. Seeding Process begins. Indoor 2022/23 league standings were the main consideration on where a team would be seeded for the CMSA Provincial Qualifier Cup Competition Indoor 2022/23.
    
4. Teams were ranked from 1-last seed (number varied depending on age, gender, and division). The following situations occurred while seeding:

• Underaged team playing up a year
• These teams were ranked as the bottom seeds
• Overaged team playing down a year
• This team was ranked as a bottom seed based on their current league placement in the older age division.

Live Draw Process:

• All teams will be divided into Pot A and Pot B. Pot A will have the top half seeded teams, and Pot B will have the bottom half seeded teams.
• Should there be an odd number of teams, the 1st place seeded team will receive a first-round bye.
• All Pot A seeded teams will be drawn from Pot A and placed on one side of the matches (Home).
• All Pot B seeded teams will be drawn from Pot B and placed on the other side of the match-up (Away).
• The full tournament bracket will be made on drawn match order with the 1st place seed and 2nd place seed being placed on opposite sides of the bracket.
• There will some "play-in" games that are based on the drawn match order, but this will be shown on the full tournament bracket.

 
The first matches of the CMSA Provincial Qualifier Cup Competition will start on January 22nd and 29th 2023.
