Remembering Daryl Leinweber

On June 24, 2023, we lost Daryl Leinweber, a name synonymous with soccer. For 15 years, Daryl was the Executive Director of Calgary Minor Soccer Association. A true champion of youth soccer, his leadership and dedication to the community left a lasting impression on the lives of countless young athletes.

Today, we remember Daryl, for his countless contributions to the sport of soccer in Calgary and beyond. CMSA recognizes that we would not be where we are today without his unwavering commitment and infectious love for the game.

Several current and former CMSA employees had the pleasure of working with Daryl. His legacy will continue to be felt throughout the organization for years to come. CMSA sends their deepest condolences to Daryl’s family. As we bid farewell to Daryl, let us honour his memory by carrying forward the torch he lit.
