EmpowerHER is an initiative created by CMSA with the vision of attracting and retaining females in our sport. Originally launched in March 2022, EmpowerHER was born out of a desire to create more meaningful experiences and opportunities for all females, in an effort to build confidence, improve self esteem, develop teamwork and leadership skills, and to help contribute to growing a lifelong love of soccer. All of our EmpowerHER events are designed for females of all memberships in the Calgary Minor Soccer community - including players, parents, coaches, team managers and referees.

EmpowerHER is a collective movement where we aim to generate, promote and activate events centered around increasing participation and retention in soccer. We believe that by providing a variety or resources, courses, mentorship opportunities and workshops directly targeted at youth soccer females, not only will we be able to aid in development of these females on field, but we will help to lay the foundation for growth of these females off field.
